About the client:

Our client is a prominent, dynamic global organization with a diverse portfolio of businesses spanning multiple industries. Known for handling high-stakes projects and sophisticated supply chains, they are seeking a hands-on, resilient Logistics Professional to oversee their end-to-end regional and international distribution network.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute and optimize complex multimodal transportation operations across sea, air, land, and contract warehousing.
  • Stay abreast of global trade policies, tariffs, anti-dumping measures, sanctions, and regulatory requirements mapped to various product categories and HS codes.
  • Optimize routing and shipment consolidation to balance cost, speed, and reliability, providing agile logistics options to meet tight project timelines.
  • Proactively propose strategic logistics solutions and alternatives to management and clients to mitigate delivery and delay risks.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely management of shipments, inventory tracking, and sample distribution.
  • Collaborate closely with factories, truckers, customs brokers, warehouses, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure seamless operational execution.
  • Manage and evaluate third-party logistics (3PL) providers to guarantee service quality, cost efficiency, and strict adherence to company standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise international customs clearance processes, ensuring flawless documentation and smooth import/export operations.

Candidate Profile:

  • 8 years of progressive, hands-on experience in regional logistics, global supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing complex import, export, and re-export operations, with a strong grasp of regional and global customs compliance.
  • Exposure to metals, building materials, finished goods, or project-based logistics is highly preferred.
  • Practical experience working with factories, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, particularly across China, Thailand, India, and other global regions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data tools/automation (e.g., Macros, VBA, Python) is an advantage.
  • A resilient team player with meticulous attention to detail, strong intercultural communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across different countries.
  • Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure, project-driven, and industrial environment.
