Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, including sales, procurement, licensing, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and service agreements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and provide professional legal advice regarding relevant laws and regulations in Taiwan and major overseas markets.
- Compliance Framework: Promote and support corporate compliance policies, strategies, educational training, and internal control systems.
- Risk & Dispute Management: Control legal risks and manage disputes, including consulting with external counsel when necessary.
- Cross-disciplinary Support: Utilize professional experience beyond the legal field (e.g., Engineering, Finance, or IT) to provide in-depth technical insights during contract reviews and risk assessments.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with business teams to provide clear and actionable legal advice for daily operations and specific projects.
- Travel: Occasionally travel overseas as required by business needs.
Requirements (Qualifications)
- Education: LL.B. degree required; LL.M. is a plus. Admission to the Bar (Lawyer License) is preferred (Secondary Condition).
- Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years (Primary Condition) of experience in a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel, with a solid background in Corporate and Commercial Law.
- Secondary Expertise: (Primary Condition) Professional experience in a field outside of Law or IP, such as Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Supply Chain, or specific industry-related domains.
- Language Skills: Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills in both English and Mandarin. Proficiency in Spanish or Japanese is a plus (Secondary Condition) and will be prioritized.
- Attributes: Strong business judgment, high level of integrity, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced multinational environment.
