Job Description

Summary

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in the overall management of the Singapore Silat Federation (SSF) by overseeing daily operations, ensuring effective governance, operational efficiency, and collaboration across all departments to achieve SSF's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in implementing SSF's multi-year sports plans, policies, and organizational objectives.
  • Drive organizational improvements, innovation, and continuous process enhancement.
  • Develop operational plans and monitor progress towards organisational goals.
  • Asist the General Manager to supervise the Secretariat team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Assist the General Manager to develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and internal policies.
  • Provide managerial support and guidance to the Technical Director.
  • Monitor the implementation and progress of technical programmes, athlete development initiatives, coaching programmes, competitions, and high-performance activities.
  • Support resource planning and operational requirements for technical programme and events.
  • Together with the GM, work with SSF Board to establish sound governance and accountability systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with SportSG requirements, SSF's Constitution, and all relevant legislation and policies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with SportSG, affiliates, athletes, coaches, officials, sponsors, partners, schools, and other stakeholders.
  • Support partnership development, sponsorship opportunities, and organisational collaborations.
  • Oversee the budget for all events/competitions and capability development programs, including technical officials development.
  • Monitor operational readiness, logistics, manpower planning, and event planning
  • Assist the GM in the preparation of all press release and ensure that the releases are sent out at appropriate times for all activities in consultation with the SSF president and committee.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant management or leadership experience.
  • Experience in the sports industry or National Sports Association (NSA) is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of governance, finance, HR, and organisational management.
