Your Job

Responsible for varieties of thermal design and development of high-speed connectors and cable assemblies in networking, data communications and telecommunications areas. Leads the thermal design activities through collaboration with cross-function teams and following Molex product development processes.

What You Will Do

  • Support development and validation of cooling solutions (air cooling, liquid cooling, heat sinks, thermal interface materials)
  • Conduct thermal testing and data collection to ensure compliance with performance requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and customer review.
  • Assist in thermal design and troubleshooting for Molex CSBU product, including optical transceiver, cage and liquid cooling product.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to optimize thermal performance.
  • Calibrate, management and maintain thermal testing equipment.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of heat transfer and fluid dynamic theory
  • Experience with 3D CAD tool such as NX, Creo or SolidWorks)
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in English.

What Will Put You Ahead


  • Experience with server, switch systems or thermal module supplier.
  • Experience with liquid cooling product.
  • Experience with thermal validation equipment (e.g. thermal chamber, data logger, thermocouple, wind tunnel)
  • Hands-on experience in prototype assembly and testing.
  • Knowledge of electronics cooling solutions.
  • Experience with thermal simulation tools such as FloTHERM, FloEFD or Icepak.
