Job Description

The Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) is a not-for-profit organisation established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in 2024 to harness technology and foster innovation for more efficient, resilient, and inclusive financial ecosystems through global partnerships. GFTN organises convening forums, offers advisory services on innovation ecosystems, provides access to transformative digital platforms, and invest in technology startups with the potential for growth and positive social impact through its venture fund.

Role Overview

GFTN is seeking an experienced communications, content, research and project management professional to support its global strategic communications and develop research-led content and insights across its flagship Forums and programmes.

Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, this is a hands-on strategy-to-execution role spanning corporate communications, Forum communications, content and research, thought leadership, media engagement and project management.

The role will support GFTN's global communications and flagship platforms, including the Singapore FinTech Festival, Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum, Black Swan Summit, and GFTN initiatives in India, Australia and other priority markets.

A key part of the mandate will be to work with GFTN's Marketing, Content and forum teams to research the major forces reshaping finance and technology, translate these into compelling Forum content, and capture the ideas emerging from GFTN's convenings through Content Research Reports, Insights Reports and thought leadership.

The individual will also provide strong project management across the communications function, translating strategy into clear workplans, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, managing deadlines and ensuring high-quality execution across multiple markets and platforms.

1. Global Strategic Communications

  • Support the CCO in developing and executing GFTN's global communications strategy, institutional narrative and positioning.
  • Develop clear and compelling narratives across GFTN's programmes, partnerships, markets and global platforms.
  • Produce high-quality digital and print communications, including social media posts and videos, press releases, speeches, op-eds, executive briefs, presentations, talking points and stakeholder communications.
  • Support communications for major programme launches, institutional announcements, government engagements, partnerships and milestones.
  • Develop executive communications and thought-leadership positioning for GFTN's senior leadership.
  • Work across GFTN teams to ensure consistency, accuracy and quality across external communications.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen GFTN's visibility and influence across global finance, technology and policy conversations.

2. Global Forum Communications

Lead and support communications for GFTN's flagship platforms, including:

Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF) | Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum I Uzbekistan | Black Swan Summit | India | Australia | other GFTN Global Forums and Select Programmes

  • Develop the communications narrative, strategy and implementation plan for each Forum.
  • Identify the strongest themes, speakers, announcements, data points and stories for external amplification.
  • Develop and execute pre-event, live-event and post-event communications.
  • Produce and coordinate Forum social media posts and videos, press releases, media briefs, speaker announcements, stakeholder communications and session summaries.
  • Manage real-time communications during Forums, ensuring significant ideas, announcements and insights are captured and amplified quickly.
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams, government partners, speakers, agencies, media partners and other stakeholders.
  • Develop strong post-Forum narratives focused on what emerged, why it matters and what comes next.
  • Ensure each Forum generates a sustained communications and thought-leadership footprint beyond the event itself.

3. Forum Content, Research & Insights

  • Work closely with GFTN's Content team to research major developments across finance, AI, payments, digital assets, tokenisation, regulation, digital public infrastructure, quantum, cybersecurity, economic development and geopolitics.
  • Translate research into compelling Forum themes, session concepts, editorial propositions and communications narratives.
  • Research and identify relevant global policymakers, regulators, academics, CEOs, founders, investors, technologists and thought leaders for GFTN platforms.
  • Develop session briefs, speaker propositions, moderator notes, background research, interview questions and leadership talking points.
  • Capture and synthesise the most important arguments, announcements, policy developments and data emerging from Forum discussions.
  • Support the Content team in developing GFTN Forum Content Research Reports and post-Forum Insights Reports.
  • Translate Forum intellectual content into articles, op-eds, policy briefs, executive summaries, media content and digital thought leadership.
  • Help establish GFTN Forums not simply as events, but as platforms that generate ideas, shape policy and industry conversations and produce authoritative knowledge.

4. Project Management — Global Communications & Forums

  • Develop and manage workplans, timelines, deliverables and editorial and communications calendars across GFTN's global portfolio.
  • Project-manage Forum communications from initial planning through live execution and post-event delivery.

  • Coordinate inputs and approvals from leadership, Forum teams, government partners, speakers, agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Track delivery and proactively identify risks, delays, dependencies and resource requirements.
  • Manage multiple communications, content and research projects across different geographies simultaneously.
  • Ensure communications assets move efficiently through research, drafting, review, approval, production and publication.
  • Manage post-Forum workflows to ensure content is converted into reports, media outputs, thought leadership and reusable intellectual assets.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, editorial quality and timely execution across all workstreams.

5. India Strategic Communications & Media

Experience in India is preferred but not essential.
