Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the construction team to prepare accurate and complete documents for Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Open Tender processes
- Identify and engage potential tenderers and subcontractors by sending timely RFQ invitations
- Facilitate communication by coordinating queries and clarifications between tenderers and the construction team during the RFQ stage
- Organize and coordinate post-tender interviews involving tenderers, construction, quantity surveying, and contracts teams to support decision-making
- Assist commercial and contracts managers with quantity surveying tasks related to Sub-Contracts, Works Orders, and Purchase Orders to ensure contract accuracy
- Support the contracts team in administering subcontracts to maintain compliance and proper documentation
- Process and verify payment requests from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Perform additional ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Contracts Manager to support project and contract needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Purchasing/Procurement, Business, or Engineering
- 5 to 10 years of experience in quantity surveying and subcontract administration within construction projects
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Contract/Construction Law
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working on Land Transport Authority (LTA) projects
