Assistant Computer Officer (carrying the job title of AI & Data Analyst)The University Planning Office (UPO) leads and co-ordinates major university-wide planning processes, and provides data and analysis to support decision making by senior management. We also provide institutional data to external parties such as UGC and various ranking agencies. For more details: Being a core contributor to the success of UPO's mission, the appointee will be responsible for (a) supporting the adoption of AI in data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to improve data quality (b) automating workflows in daily operations to enhance working efficiency and consistency (c) implementing strategic (data-related) projects to provide institutional data management capabilities (d) supporting ad hoc management information analysis and enquiry needs and (e) performing other relevant duties as assigned by the unit head/supervisors.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Data Science, or related disciplines (with specialisation in AI & Machine Learning is an advantage) (ii) at least 2 years post-qualification experience in roles related to business and system analysis, system development, and data management/analytics (iii) strong verbal and written communication skills in both technical and business languages an essential attribute (iv) a highly motivated and independent working style, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills (v) a proactive and solution-oriented mindset in embracing and applying AI technologies in building data-driven solutions (vi) a good awareness of data security and data privacy and (vii) a good team spirit with strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities to contribute in a cross-functional/cross-team collaborative environment.
