Job Description

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of internal audit engagements in the Financial Markets sector, covering the full audit cycle from planning and risk assessment through fieldwork to reporting and follow-up.
  • Evaluate compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and internal policies assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls identify key risks and control gaps and deliver practical, value-adding recommendations.
  • Provide insightful advice to business stakeholders on enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing processes, and strengthening risk management practices.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects, special reviews, and other initiatives as required by management or regulatory developments.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Accountancy, Finance, Statistics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in internal/external audit, preferably gained at a major audit firm and/or within a financial institution (candidates with fewer years of experience may be considered for the Assistant Audit Manager level).
  • Solid hands-on experience in the Financial Markets sector, with exposure to auditing, compliance reviews, or control assessments in areas such as treasury, trading, derivatives, FX, securities, or related activities.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent is required additional certifications including CFA, FRM, CISA, CAMS, or similar are highly advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory framework (e.g., HKMA guidelines), local laws, international standards, and prevailing market practices in Financial Markets.
  • Excellent project management skills, with proven ability to supervise team members, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
  • Strong analytical mindset, superior report-writing abilities, and effective communication and interpersonal skills a collaborative team player who is self-motivated and proactive.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese) good command of Mandarin is preferred.
