About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our Asset Management team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing a portfolio of investee companies, driving operational improvements, strengthening governance, and enhancing overall investment performance. You will work closely with portfolio companies to develop and execute strategies aimed at long-term sustainability and successful exits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Form a 2-3 person team alongside the Director and participate in portfolio company management, including serving as an external director or equivalent
- Formulate and execute business plans, including strategies for value creation and exit
- Present business plans and reports to the Investment Committee and other stakeholders
- Strengthen internal controls, corporate governance, and financial/operational systems
- Review and verify board structure, management effectiveness, and operational frameworks
- Collaborate with the Japanese headquarters team on exit execution
- Identify new investment opportunities through networks and relationships developed via asset management activities
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of practical experience in consulting (PMI, business process improvement), Big Four firms, corporate M&A/investment divisions, trading company investment departments, or investment banking
- Experience or strong interest in M&A, PMI, and investment operations
- Hands-on, detail-oriented approach with a willingness to engage in operational and governance tasks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to drive initiatives independently
- Positive attitude and adaptability to diverse tasks and challenges
