Applied Chemist – Textile

About the Role:

Were seeking a hands-on Textile Chemistry Manager to lead the formulation and application of chemical blends used in our fabric dyeing and finishing operations. This role is central to ensuring product consistency, quality, and innovation in how we treat knitted fabrics. Youll manage a team of technicians, develop chemical recipes (softeners, resins, finishes, etc.), and work closely with production leads to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and adapt chemical mixtures for textile dyeing and finishing.
• Oversee on-site chemical preparation and application across fabric types.
• Lead a team of lab technicians and technical assistants.
• Ensure performance consistency and quality control during production.
• Collaborate with manufacturing to troubleshoot and fine-tune application.
• Stay updated with compliance standards and sustainability practices.

Qualifications:

• This position is based in Quimistn, Honduras.
• Bachelors degree in Textile Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in textile dyeing and finishing, including chemical formulation and quality control.
• Advanced English proficiency is required.
