Summary:

As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous engagement with system performance and user feedback to maintain reliability and efficiency within the business environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues.
• Document findings and solutions to support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance system stability.
• Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing expertise.
• Develop basic to intermediate Snowflake SQL queries for data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and issue investigation.
  
  

Use joins, aggregations, filters, common table expressions, and comparison logic to analyze data.

Compare source, staging, mastered, and downstream data.

Identify duplicates, null values, invalid values, inconsistent identifiers, and other data-quality conditions.

Use available lineage information to identify direct upstream sources and downstream consumers.

Support impact assessments for straightforward table, column, mapping, or business-rule changes.

Document affected assets, users, processes, reports, and integrations based on confirmed evidence.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with query optimization and performance tuning in data warehouse environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration and transformation issues.
• Familiarity with scripting languages to automate routine tasks and support system maintenance.
• Understanding of data security and compliance standards relevant to data warehousing.
  
  

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Snowflake Data Warehouse.
• This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
• A 15 years full time education is required.
