Application Engineer_North America Business

Richtek's North America Business unit is seeking a motivated, experienced applications engineer to provide support to our USDC team. The ideal candidate will support the development of Power Path Control, Power Monitor. Responsibilities will include the design and test of evaluation board circuits, customer demo boards and customer support for end use applications.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Power Path Control, Power Monitor

• Collaborate with IC design team on product evaluation and validation

• Design / test evaluation boards for both internal engineering and customer use

• Work with Field Application Engineers to solve customer challenges

• Competitive analysis

• Write technical articles for internal and industry publications

Minimum qualifications

• MSEE or equivalent

• 2 years working experience as application engineer

• Power applications experience and intuition

• Experience using electronic lab test equipment

• Strong English proficiency

• Soldering, re-working

• Strong team and work ethic

Preferred qualifications

• System simulation experience

• Board level debugging

Preferred Product Experience

• Primary Product Experience. Experience in one or more of the following product categories is highly preferred:

1. Hot-Swap Controller

2. E-Fuse

3. Load Switches / Ideal Diode

4. Power Path Control

• Secondary Product Experience. Experience in one or more of the following product categories is a plus:

1. DC/DC Converters

2. Multi-phase Regulators / Controllers

3. PD (Power Delivery) Controllers

4. Notebook Power

5. Server Power

6. LDOs (Low Dropout Regulators)

7. Power MOSFET, DrMOS, or SPS

8. High-Power Power Systems
