Position Summary

Applied Materials is seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to support process-related activities and equipment applications for customers in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industry, with a primary focus on PCB manufacturing companies.

This role is based in Hsinchu and involves frequent domestic travel to customer sites (primarily in ), as well as potential overseas travel. The position includes online courses and on-site training to support onboarding and skill development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support customer-facing engineering activities related to process applications and equipment performance, primarily for PCB manufacturing customers

  • Work at customer sites including PCB manufacturing companies and OSAT customers

  • Travel frequently within Taiwan for short-term assignments (primarily to , typically 1-2 months depending on business needs)

  • May be required to travel overseas based on business unit needs

  • Participate in on-site training and online learning programs

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required

  • Educational background from University of Science and Technology

  • Major in Engineering disciplines, preferably Mechanical Engineering or related fields

  • Required knowledge in Electrical Engineering and Fluid Mechanics

  • New College Graduates (NCG) are welcomecandidates with up to 3 years of experience preferred

  • Candidates with Customer Engineer (CE) background who are interested in transitioning are preferred

  • Experience supporting or working with PCB manufacturing environments is a plus

  • English proficiency required (TOEIC 550+ within 5 years)

  • Traits: self-motivated, willing to learn, and proactive

  • Fluent in Mandarin
