Job Description

Our client is a Japan-based IT consulting firm specializing in system infrastructure and database security. They are currently seeking an Application Developer - ASP.NET (VB.NET).

【Responsibilities】
- Analyze and enhance existing ASP.NET (VB.NET) applications.
- Perform source code modifications and functional improvements.
- Maintain and update ASP.NET AJAX-based UI components.
- Develop and modify SQL stored procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, including bugs and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with users and project teams to clarify requirements.
- Ensure code quality and consistency in line with existing development standards.
- Support testing, deployment, and production issue resolution.

Requirement

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)
- At least 3-5 years of experience in ASP.NET (VB.NET), preferably on .NET Framework 4.5.1 or 4.6.1.
- Experience in application enhancement and source code modification.
- Hands-on experience with ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit (v4.1.7 or similar).
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and stored procedures.
- Ability to analyze, modify, and debug existing applications.
- Good understanding of web application architecture (client-server, HTTP-based systems).

(Advantageous)
- Experience in financial or banking systems.
- Experience in small-scale application or tool development.
- Knowledge of version control systems.
- Experience working with Japanese stakeholders.
