Algorithm Developer
[Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer]
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement algorithms of detecting defects during manufacturing.
- Integrate and optimize these algorithms within systems.
- Evaluate technical approaches and propose improvements in algorithmic performance and robustness.
- Work with the stakeholders and complete the tasks on time.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
- 2 years of exp. w/ SW development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C/C++).
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix development environment.
- Exp. w/ image processing, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms (e.g., OpenCV). With Defect detection exp. is preferred.
- Exp. w/ machine learning computer vision algorithm development & tools (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, machine learning libraries), artificial intelligence, deep learning.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical ML solutions
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in English. TOEIC: >600
Others:
- Bilingual capability is required (Mandarin & English).
Mandarin speaking/reading is essential skill in HCLTech Taiwan.
- Soft Skills: Good listener, sense of humor, open minded, respect, patience, resolving issues, etc.
- Exp. applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
- Can work independently (e.g. manage tasks to complete on time, etc.)

- Taiwan APRC is required w/ expat.
