We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic leader to manage the AQP team at the Taiwan Design Center. This individual will take full ownership of AQP execution during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase, ensuring robust risk identification and elimination while supporting business growth. This role goes beyond technical rigor—it requires the ability to coach and develop engineers, challenge assumptions, and guide teams toward risk-adjusted, economically sound decisions.

Advanced Quality Planning (AQP)
What You Will Do
Lead the Design Center AQP team in executing best-in-class quality planning during the NPI process, especially for Grow and Sustain product categories under the DSS Product Strategic Framework.
Demonstrate strong leadership by setting a clear vision, coaching engineers to think strategically, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
Champion the use of economic thinking to support rational, risk-adjusted decisions throughout the product development lifecycle.
Proactively guide the AQP and Engineering teams through Molex's Product Development Process (PDP), ensuring consistent application of preventive tools and practices.
Remove roadblocks to PDP execution through targeted communication, escalation, and training.
Partner closely with Program Managers (PMs) and AQP engineers to manage customer expectations, validate application-specific product characteristics, and ensure product readiness at launch.
Support the execution of CSBU's NPI Direct and Outsourcing strategies by embedding quality ownership and visibility into every stage of development.
Lead organizational transformation efforts related to AQP tools, workflows, and reporting mechanisms to drive agility, clarity, and impact.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Coach and mentor AQP engineers to develop leadership capabilities, technical depth, and a proactive mindset in handling complex NPI projects with cross-functional teams.
Set expectations that drive toward zero-defect launches and foster a culture of excellence and ownership.
Ensure that all 19 AQP tools are not only applied but also understood and optimized by the team to anticipate and mitigate risk early in the PDP.
Improve coordination and clarify roles between Design AQP and Plant AQP teams, especially for NPI Direct programs. Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure alignment and accountability.
Establish knowledge systems including lessons learned databases, VOC (Voice of the Customer) feedback mechanisms, and robust metrics for continuous improvement.
Support supplier selection and qualification processes for CSBU outsourcing initiatives.
What Will Put You Ahead
Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Development, Advanced Quality, or Quality Engineering.
At least 3 years of direct leadership experience, managing a team of 5 or more engineers.
Industry experience aligned with Molex's technology and product portfolio is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives while ensuring high-quality execution.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
