ROLE SUMMARY
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance matters. This role supports management by ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and smooth coordination with external auditors, and internal teams.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone comfortable working independently in a growing SME environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Accounting & Finance
. Handle full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL)
. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
. Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
. Issue invoices, track receivables, and follow up on outstanding payments
. Process payments to suppliers and manage payables
Statutory & Compliance
. Prepare GST submissions and ensure compliance with IRAS regulations
. Support year-end closing and liaise with external auditors
. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and company policies
. Maintain proper documentation and audit trails
Payroll & Administration
. Process payroll, CPF contributions, and related statutory submissions
. Maintain employee expense claims and reimbursements
. Support budgeting and cost tracking, where required
. Assist with hotel and flight bookings, where required
Business Support
. Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Management on financial matters
. Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis or reporting for management
. Support internal process improvements and controls as the company grows
REQUIREMENTS
. Minimum 1 year of accounting experience (SME experience preferred)
. Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
. Familiar with Singapore accounting standards and GST requirements
. Proficient in accounting software (e.g. MYOB, Dynamic 365 Business Central)
. Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
. Meticulous, organised, and reliable
. Able to communicate clearly with internal teams and external parties
