Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the accounting team by managing daily operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, and cost accounting functions to ensure smooth workflow and accuracy.
- Oversee the timely closing of accounts each month and quarter, guaranteeing that all financial reports are prepared accurately and delivered according to schedule.
- Prepare, review, and analyse comprehensive financial statements to ensure they reflect true business performance and provide valuable insights for management decisions.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by leading ad-hoc projects designed to simplify finance-related business procedures and enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor the integrity of accounting data by implementing robust checks and controls to ensure information is both accurate and readily available when needed by stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements by regularly reviewing internal policies and updating procedures as necessary.
- Act as a key stakeholder in company-wide risk management efforts by identifying potential financial risks and collaborating with other departments to mitigate them effectively.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record in manufacturing costing methodologies as well as company budgeting processes within complex organisations.
- Business proficiency in both oral and written English enabling clear communication across multinational teams.
- Exceptional leadership qualities demonstrated through previous roles involving supervision of teams or talent development initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills allowing for effective cross-functional collaboration within diverse work environments.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA or MBA qualifications are considered advantageous for this position.
- At least eight years experience in accounting roles with a minimum of three years spent managing or supervising others within similar settings.
- Experience working with self-owned brands, multinational e-commerce businesses or manufacturing companies is highly desirable.
