Accounting Officer, Treasury & Investment Operations Team in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 533887)

The Role

The successful candidate will join the Treasury & Investment Operations Team with the following responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting and investment operations, including trade execution, settlement and cash management
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
• Handle KYC/AML procedures, tax and compliance matters, and account onboarding processes
• Prepare monthly investment performance analysis and reports for management review
• Develop long-term relationships with financial institutions and asset management firms
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide support during audit engagements and
• Support ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as required.

Qualifications and Qualities

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance or external audit
• Solid knowledge of financial instruments (e.g. bonds, stocks), and their accounting treatments
• A team-oriented professional with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
• Strong communication abilities and effective stakeholder management skills and
• Experience with Oracle Financials is highly desirable.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totally up to 10% of basic salary.
