Responsibilities:
Perform project cost control activities, including budget monitoring, verification of commitments and payment requests
Maintain and operate systems for recording and processing contract and project costs, including system setup, interface monitoring and issue follow-up
Investigate and follow up on non-compliance cases identified in operations and reports
Assist in monitoring project progress against contracts and agreements
Conduct analysis and review of funding, commitment and claims applications, and provide recommendations to support management decision-making
Support system enhancement and development, including coordination with IT teams and resolution of system-related issues
Assist in providing training to system users and project staff
Prepare month-end closing and periodic management reports
Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and accounting standards
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Civil Engineering or other related disciplines
Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry
Member of a recognized professional accounting body (e.g. HKICPA, ACCA)
Knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems or Project Cost Control Systems (or equivalent) is preferred
Knowledge of quantity surveying and construction contracts is an advantage
Solid experience in project cost control and contract management
Supervisory experience is required
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with good business acumen
Excellent command of both written and spoken English & Chinese (i.e. Cantonese & Putonghua)
Proficiency in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and AI tools (e.g. Copilot)
