Key responsibilities
. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, ledger accounts, and reconciliations.
. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
. Perform bank reconciliations and identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
. Handle Trust Receipts and related trade financing documentation for overseas supplier payments.
. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, provisions, and adjusting entries.
. Prepare, verify and e-submit GST returns via the IRAS portal (quarterly).
. Maintain detailed documentation and ensure all supporting records are organised and retrievable for audit purposes.
. Liaise with internal departments and external parties to gather financial information and clarify transactions.
. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
What we're looking for :
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
3 -4 years of experience in an accounting or accounts administration role
Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), and statutory reporting requirements.
Meticulous, organized and comfortable managing multiple deadlines independently.
Good communication skills for liaising with auditors, bankers, and suppliers.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English proficiency in other languages is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment
Professional demeanour and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
