A Manual Testing Job entails the process of manually testing software for defects. The job requires a tester to act as an end user whereby the candidate will employ most of the application's features to make sure of correct behaviour. The manual tester role is accountable for the central undertakings of the test effort, which includes conducting the essential tests and logging the results of that testing. The candidate will also be required to verify the test execution. Analyzing and recovering from execution errors is also part of the candidate's KPI. The aspirant will have an important role to play in the quality assurance stage of software development. As a manual tester, the aspirant will be required to carry out manual tests to ensure the software created meets the requirements. This act also includes the manual tester to do the analysis of software to avert issues and fixing bugs before the product is forwarded to users. Working with code is also an important part of the role, and manual testers are expected to be knowledgeable about various coding languages. The aspirant will be responsible for analyzing the requirements from clients as well as arranging test environments to implement the test cases. S/he will also be expected to conduct review meetings, indulge in defect tracking and also communicate with the test manager. Reporting bugs to developers so that they can be fixed is also part of a manual tester's KPI. As a minimum, a degree in computer science, IT, Engineering or relevant fields is required. Employers often expect professionals to have prior experience on different iOS frameworks, mobile apps, Objective-C, programming tools, third-party libraries and APIs.
