KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

• Carry out development activities including feasibility study, user expectation management, and change management.
• Propose on system development strategy and planning.
• Evaluate and recommend new IT products and services.
• Measuring/identify potential risk and recommends risk mitigation wherever appropriate.
• Deliver system modification/enhancement within budget and time frame.
• Assist direct supervisor on executing IT initiatives & strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent, minimum 5 years working experience in Information Technology.
• Solid experience in enterprise-scale application development.
• Good knowledge in project management.
• Prefer to pass the subjects of 280 and 290 of LOMA examination

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Sound knowledge in Life Asia and Front-End System.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing enterprise-scale IT system for Life Insurance.
• Good knowledge in Life Insurance products and workflow.
• Good team player.
• Self-initiative and pro-active.

• AS400/CL programming, COBOL/400, RPG/400, SQL/400, DB2, middle ware connectivity (For example, MQ) and client-server technologies.

This position assumes the role to assist in developing Life Systems development/enhancement projects including Life Asia and Front-End systems.

Managing activities within sub-team and project monitoring. Collecting user requirements and carried out development tasks including system design, coding, testing and user acceptance testing.
