Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale structural engineering team for sever and storage product development in Taipei, collaborating globally across engineering, architecture, and operations.
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, and career development plans for team members
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing structural engineering team
- Define team structure, resource planning, hiring strategy, and skill development roadmap
- Manage productization, capacity planning, and lab operations, including budget control and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure on-time delivery with quality, cost, and performance targets met
- Oversee structural design, simulation (FEA), and validation activities across multiple programs
- Define and drive Structural technology roadmap (FEA, shock/vibration, board-level reliability, packaging interaction) aligned with business needs
- Build and enhance team capabilities (automation, advanced simulation, lab validation, AI/optimization tools where applicable)
- Identify and introduce industry new technologies to improve engineering efficiency and product reliability
- Lead crisis response for quality, material, or capacity disruptions, providing real-time updates to executive teams.
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanics, Marine engineering, Civil engineering or equivalent experience beyond
- 12+ years of experience in mechanical development, structural analysis, and FEA
- Proven people management experience leading engineering teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Strong expertise in:
- FEA (Ansys, LS-DYNA, Sherlock, or the equivalent tools)
- Shock & vibration theory and testing
- Reliability validation methodologies and industry specifications
- Strong leadership in cross-functional collaboration and decision-making
- Excellent communication skills; ability to present to technical and business stakeholders in English
