We're seeking a future team member in the role ofSenior Vice President, Technology Product Managerto join our Financial Product team. This role is located in either Jersey City, NJ or Lake Mary Florida.

This will be a hybrid position (3 days in the office)

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

The Product Management team at Pershing defines product vision and strategy based on customer needs and competitive landscape.

The team is responsible for products throughout their life cycle and works closely with technology groups to continuously improve the products and solutions.

Product Managers conceptualize new solutions and enhancements to products, define the Product Strategy & Roadmap, and promote the adoption of our solutions across the wide range of Pershing customers globally, including broker dealers, advisors, and investors.

Product Managers work with a variety of teams for the execution of the Product Strategy & Roadmap and the subsequent Launch & Rollout including - Technology, User Experience, Marketing, Project Management and Business Analysts among others.

Product Managers serve as the voice of the customer internally they articulate the product positioning, benefits, target customers, and promote the products both internally and externally.

In addition, Product Managers are also involved in client engagements, strategic product meetings with clients, product demonstrations and sales initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

In this role you will:

  • Serve as the product owner and subject matter expert for the Subscribe annuity solution, Pershing's comprehensive insurance application offering annuity order entry, commission netting, configurable workflows and product comparison tools to advisors.
  • Define product strategy and own the product roadmap continue to innovate and add market-leading features to ensure competitiveness and high adoption.
  • Understand regulatory environment, annuities landscape and the annuities sales process to inform product development.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create impactful collateral for use with clients and prospects.
  • Participate in sales activity, position product and lead demos.
  • Manage relationships with insurance carriers and third-party vendors.
  • Negotiate carrier and vendor agreements to yield favorable pricing and terms.

You have:

  • Technology product experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Experience successfully leading complex projects to positive outcomes.
  • Ability to engage and influence diverse teams with their own priorities.
  • Commercial orientation and business acumen to assess new opportunities and drive profitability.
  • Client orientation: ability to engage, build trusting relationships and set/manage expectations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in technology, digital products is preferred.
  • Annuities product experience preferred.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, decision making, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are required.
  • Experience in business-to-business technology integrations is preferred.
  • Experience understanding client feedback and needs drawing insight, finding innovative solutions, and articulating them to others to support execution is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a dynamically changing environment is preferred.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 and $216,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
