Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Main Purpose and Job ScopeThis job contributes to Starbucks success by supporting the achievement of savings from productivity initiatives, cost avoidance tracking and other SCO KPI targets. Scope includes forecasting and performing variance analysis on COGS, evaluation of vendor RFQ, cost benchmark analysis, process streamline, as well as providing support on business case preparation, financial analysis & forecast and tracking on key SCO investment projects. Key AccountabilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Planning and Execution - Driving the financial aspect of the company's strategic plans and annual operating plans, and forecasting cycles, managing execution, and measuring results for productivity, cost avoidance savings and investment ROI Business Requirements - Providing finance and FP&A's functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities: Reviews new business/vendor proposals, identifies issues, risks and opportunities. Executes financial due diligence and explains ramifications of findings and recommendations for project progress. Creates financial models and analyzes actual business unit performance against targets in the operating plans, strategic plans, forecasts and prior year. Quantifies opportunities and risks, and recommends alternatives. Conducts ad hoc analyses as needed to support operational decision-making. Consolidates financial inputs from various team members and communicate the output effectively Process Improvement - Streamline and improve the efficiency of the forecasting process, including simplifying templates and models. Reduce lead time by automating reports by leveraging existing systems or new systems.
