Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 523104)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • publish original research articles in high-impact journals related to health economics and big data, especially in the child and elderly population
  • use various approaches to explore big data in order to evaluate the outcomes of various interventions
  • secure external competitive grants
  • perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • a Ph.D. degree in in health economics, statistics, data science, epidemiology, pharmacy or other related disciplines
  • relevant post-doctoral training
  • demonstrated a deep understanding of the application of big data for outcome research and modeling (medication use and/or diseases)
  • organized, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • a strong track record ofpublishing high-quality research articles is preferred

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
