Quality Data Engineer

Corning's Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (LCDs) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Purpose of the Position:

• Manage D^t project portfolio and coordinate cross functional team to ensure project progress on track in order to realize M4.0 in QA organization
• Lead D^t project in QA organization to solve/enhance critical Quality competitiveness

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Manage Quality project (included D^t) portfolio in QA organization
• Lead a project to enhance Quality thru D^t methodology
• Support division wide quality issue data analysis.
• Integrate and visualize key performance index dashboard through various database.
• Cross region to support plant QA system/Data integration requirement.
• Through various data analysis by systematic approach (e.g. machine learning/deep learning/statistical approach) across different data source (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, etc.) to identity correlation between manufacturing output and input factors for performance improvement and quality architecture build-up.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree above
• Major in Mechanical /electrical engineering, IE, statistics, or related field
• Three years or above experiences in QA/Engineering

Required Skills:

• Familiar with leading a project including schedule, resource, conflict, budget and situational management
• Preferring, knowledge of Quality issue investigation & improvement, good fundamental understanding on QI prevention
• Familiar with data analysis technics (e.g. data mining/machine learning)
• Computer: Excellent Excel, Access, power BI
• Statistic tool: Minitab/SAS/SPSS, etc.
• Good English comprehension in speaking, writing and reading.
• Quality related certification or experience is plus.
