Applications are invited for the appointment as Programme Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the School of Future Media (Ref.: 533860) to commence as soon as possible, on two-year fixed term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

The appointee will be responsible for overseeing the management of an undergraduate programme, Bachelor of Arts in Global Creative Industries, with major duties including:

  • Manage the daily programme operation such as timetabling, course enrolment and student affairs
  • Planning, organising and executing admission and enrichment activities, such as admission interviews, HKU Information Day, programme outreach, workshops, fieldtrips and overseas exchange seminar, etc
  • Liaising with departments within the University and external organisations
  • Collaborating with the School's communication team in marketing and promotion and
  • Performing any duties as assigned by the School Director

The appointee may be required to work overtime as and when necessary.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. Fluency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required. They should have good written and oral communication skills as well as organisational skills, the ability to work independently and under pressure, and proficiency in IT such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. They should also be self-motivated, and be able to effectively interact with people from diverse cultures. Experience in academic programme administration or student advising is a definite advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
