Description

As buyer for BiW Commodity, you will be the central contact person regarding all commercial and sourcing process related issues under defined responsible sourcing projects within the MP China Hub. Your responsibility as interface between Germany Procurement organization and China Joint Venture is to ensure the balance between global business case optimization and localization interests. You will carry out short visits to potential suppliers, lead and join negotiations, develop and align sourcing strategies together with the headquarter organization and Chinese joint venture.

A close collaboration with the procurement organization in Germany, cost planning function, quality engineers, development department and the Joint Venture is part of your daily work. Meanwhile, you are responsible for prescreening and promoting potential local supplier into global supply through a joint and collaborative working with above related stakeholders.

Task description:





  • Organize supplier on-site visit and participate in supplier's PA with quality engineer

  • Working together with purchasing organizations of JV, engineering department, cost planning department and purchasing organization in Germany for alignment on sourcing activities

  • Preparing and presenting decision and sourcing documents for management committee written and oral communication in English/Chinese with suppliers organize technical review meeting with suppliers, discuss technical driven issues with engineers in China and Germany from purchasing point of view

  • Detailed documentation of sourcing and negotiation results, presentations and analysis tools

  • Major working focus in driving and strong support new project nomination incl. supplier negotiation in cost workshop, support to develop Commodity strategies for supplier base optimization and commercial benefit. Independently calculate business case to identify commercial potential and align negotiation strategy



  • Attend and present topic in Commodity meeting for new project sourcing and series project topics


Qualifications

  • Bachelor or above degree in automotive, engineering or business administration area

  • Minimum 5 years work experience. Automotive industryor procurement background is preferred

  • Strong communication and negotiation capabilities

  • Result oriented with strong written and oral communication skills

  • Highly pro-active and motivated working attitude

  • ExcellentEnglish (writtenand spoken), German knowledge is preferred

  • Good computer skills (MS-office, think-cell etc.)
