PCI Engineer

Corning's Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (LCDs) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Purpose of the Position:

As a product quality assurance engineer to manage full sheet by sampling inspection, statistical data analysis and process data mining. Build up Quality Control and sampling plan to fulfill customers requirement and conducting continuous quality improvement with Prod./Tech./Project team as PDCA cycling.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Plant Melting cross function for product quality issue investigation
• Daily tracks product quality performance, and conducts quality risk assessment for internal quality issues
• Quality risky lot management with containment actions for internal quality issues
• Conducts routine audit to shop floor for process quality assurance
• Initiates various data analysis to identity correlation between quality outputs and process inputs, and proposes quality architecture and control plan.
• Monitors production process, and analyzes problems and concerns and implement or recommend corrective actions
• Coordinates Quality related projects as assigned in support of improvement
• Lead Tank qualification
• Support to join EEP/ Experiments with Engineering group.
• Lead a-DMAIC Projects.
• Support Account QA to solve quality issue and work out preventive actions
• Join external / internal ISO audit

Education & Experience:

• B.S or above degree in Engineering relative major
• At least 3 years QA or process experiences/ previous work experience in industry would be a plus.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge in Melting process
• Logical thinking and data oriented with DMAIC/MEE methodology
• Problem solving and decision skill, like KT
• Strongly in data analysis/ Statistical using skill are prefer, like SPC, QC Story and Quality relative tools
• Good English comprehension in spoken, writing and reading (TOEIC 550 is a plus).
• Aggressive and willing to take challenge and work smart
• Good personality and negotiation skill
• Computer skill, like Microsoft, PowerPoint, Excel
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a plus
