WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

As a payroll team lead, you will be responsible for supervising payroll operations in Hong Kong, Taiwan to ensure a timely and accurate payroll delivery and continuous improvement on operation efficiency and employee experience. You will also need to lead/support global payroll projects including payroll migrations for some APAC countries in near future.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Accountability for end to end process operations and deliverables of payroll, benefit, IIT and time & attendance on an accurate and timely basis for Hong Kong and Taiwan.
  • Ensure overall social and company compliance are met with the applicable standards e.g. Labor Ordinance, SOX.
  • Managing and resolving employee queries related to payroll benefit, HR policies, time attendance, leave etc.
  • Driving continuous improvement on accuracy & efficiency of payroll processes through various change efforts and technologies
  • Maintain a healthy and collaborative relationship with key stakeholders such as HRBPs, finance and manage cross-team projects and cases smoothly and efficiently.
  • Leading/supporting global/regional projects on new technologies application, process changes, service migration and ensure a smooth and successful implementation.
  • Liaison with various vendors including but not limited to contracting, renewals, work management, reviews, process improvements , Compliance, Bills validation, processing and tracking etc.

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree holder or above

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in HR Operations/HR Service delivery in the area of Payroll and HR Shared Services in a diverse and complex MNC organization
  • Solid understanding and experience in Hong Kong payroll operations and familiar with regulations associated with Hong Kong local tax, benefits and employee relationship such as HKG labor Ordinance etc.
  • Good understanding of payroll operations and associated Labor laws, income tax, social benefit regulation and other compliance policies in China and other APAC countries is a big plus.
  • Good experiences in implementing/managing projects for payroll & time systems, process optimization, service migration etc. and demonstrated skills in communication and change management.
  • Excellent English capability in speaking, listening and writing.
  • Solid skills and experiences on communication, problem solving and stakeholder management.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Experienced in payroll outsourcing operation mode such as with ADP is a plus
  • Enthusiastic, self- driven individual with a positive and service oriented mindset who is capable of working with individuals at all the levels across different functions and geographies
  • Strong drive for Results, Responsiveness, Speed and ability to navigate a matrix organization. Ability to interpret data to understand workload capacity and trends in service
  • A good team player, detail-minded and result oriented and can work under pressure.
