An exciting opportunity to join American Express International Card Services (ICS) Hong Kong. This position is responsible for managing and developing a suite of lending products and its portfolios.

Through strengthening the value propositions to suit the changing customer needs, this role is expected to drive and deliver high profitability for our business with a particular focus on the largest contributing product portfolio.

The environment will be fast-paced, and we need someone who can lead the breadth of business development and product management responsibilities, who is commercially minded, agile and brings others with them collaborating across ICS and the Enterprise. In addition, as manager this position has the accountability to manage and ensure the product operation aspects are closely monitored, adhere to operation excellence and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Use data to make informative decisions, to formulate and execute product and marketing strategies and fuel portfolio growth including product value propositions, customer engagement, loyalty and retention
  • Identify relevant business partnerships that translate into differentiated membership values, project manage deals and partnerships from negotiation to implementation including prioritization, forecasting and resource management
  • Closely monitor portfolio KPIs and holistically manage P&L and operational dynamics of the portfolio, through performance analytics to ensure business objectives are met as well as optimal use of investment dollars
  • Work with internal key stakeholders to deepen engagement with customer, to ensure superior customer service is delivered and to manage governance and on-going oversight of critical operation processes
  • Work with International teams to improve the lending product suite and increase digital engagement so as to enhance overall competitive positioning
  • Lead a small team and motivate them to achieve business objectives and profitable margin

Qualifications:

  • University degree preferably in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related disciplines
  • 8-10 years of proven experience in financial services, banking, payment industry, with a keen understanding on Credit Card products, product strategy, product development or customer marketing
  • Overall intellectual curiosity with a sound commercial sense, with the ability to view issues from a customer lens
  • Strategic thinker, with demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and translate a broad set of information and analysis into customer insights, actionable plan and maximize returns for the company
  • Good interpersonal and relationship building skills, excellent oral and written communications skills proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively to audiences in a matrixed environment
  • Self-starter and solutions-driven, curious with a willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, with strong ability to operate in an environment of evolving priorities and with the courage and flexibility to drive change and deliver results
  • Track record of successful delivery of company-critical initiative
  • People management experience, language proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese) is a must
