What you'll do :

  • Ownership: Accountable for your own vertical supply strength, business performance and overall revenue together with your team. Create strategic territory and subsegment plans and testing of new ideas to efficiently maximize sales opportunities

  • Acquisition: Acquire a diverse range of merchants across different industries, from key accounts (large business size) to local players (mid/small size) in a scalable way. Support onboarding of products and coordinate with merchants, operations, content, finance, and quality control teams.

  • Account management: Cultivate relationships with partners to help maximize their sales potential on Klook. Communicate Klook's business strengths and brand value to suppliers, and create merchant success plans for long term sustainable partnership. Provide training and daily operational support to suppliers on our processes and tools.

  • Optimization: Commit to delivering world class experience to our customers, in terms of pricing, inventory, content, exclusive privileges, maintain at a market leading position at all times.

  • Team Management & Leadership: Manage, coach and grow the vertical team to achieve the business target and KPI according to the company direction

  • Coordination: Collaborate with various functions in the company both locally and globally - marketing to maximize sales, supplier operations to improve efficiency, customer services to drive satisfaction and repeats, finance to ensure accurate payment and minimize risk.

  • Market Intelligence: Provide market leaders with relevant information on identifying market trends and competitor updates.

  • Operations: Support and train new joiners in the team on tools and processes

What you'll need :

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Development / Account Management

  • Proven track record on leadership ability to recruit, develop and retain high quality talent in multi-cultural teams and matrix reporting relationships

  • Strong entrepreneurial and ownership mindset to explore opportunities to grow a long term sustainable vertical business

  • Operational excellence mind-set and experience. Data driven. Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Adept at simplifying complexity and developing scalable propositions.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience

  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships across all levels and effectively adapts to varied situations.

  • A start-up attitude - highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude that's not afraid to work independently when required.

  • Analytical with a strong bias for data-based decisions, able to gather and synthesize data from multiple sources

  • Team Player with the ability to work across a matrix environment in a fast paced environment and constantly evolving environment

  • Confident, self-motivated and goal-oriented sales-driven

  • Globally-minded and comfortable working with people from different cultural backgrounds
