: : Job Purpose The primary purpose of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) role is to ensure secure and efficient management of user identities and access privileges within the organization. This involves developing, implementing, and maintaining systems and policies that protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Job Duties & responsibilities
*User Account Management - Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts across various systems. - Assign and review user access rights based on roles and responsibilities.
Authentication and Authorization - Develop and maintain robust authentication mechanisms, such as multi-factor authentication (MFA). - Manage authorization processes to ensure appropriate access levels.
Password and Credential Management - Enforce password policies, including complexity, expiration, and reset requirements. - Manage credential issuance and lifecycle.
Access Reviews and Audits - Conduct regular access reviews and audits to ensure compliance and detect any anomalies. - Report findings and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Policy Development and Enforcement - Develop IAM policies and procedures aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements. - Ensure policies are enforced and communicated across the organization.
Monitoring and Incident Response - Monitor IAM systems for suspicious activities and potential security breaches. - Respond to and investigate IAM-related security incidents.
System Maintenance and Improvement - Maintain and update IAM systems to ensure they are operating effectively. - Work with IT and security teams to identify and implement system improvements.
Training and Support - Provide training to employees on IAM policies and procedures. - Offer technical support to resolve IAM-related issues.
Collaboration and Coordination* - Work with various departments to ensure IAM practices are integrated into overall business processes. - Coordinate with IT and security teams to align IAM initiatives with broader security strategies.
