Job Description

Handle activities of customer invoicing/cash application/credit collections/accounting data control, respond to customers inquiries and resolve issues maintain and update data and information to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial information.

Your Contribution

  • Collections and Credit: Reach out to customer on delinquent accounts via phone or email in an attempt to collect payment Monitor an assigned book of business and work to proactively address process and billing issues with customers to result in payment Evaluate account history and aging report analysis to make recommendations around credit Review of payment agency websites to seek payment information and/or rejection reason for non-payment Performs credit checks on new customer based on company guidelines Make quick credit decisions based on credit reporting and pay history with company Oversee and monitor credit issues with outstanding customers as needed.
  • Billings: Work with customer to review New-Customer requirements, confirming billing information, establishing contact Upload invoices to various websites for payment and document Identify potential billing discrepancies through familiarization with the biller functions, and work to resolve issues prior to making a collections call Send customer invoices and statements via email as requested.
  • Dispute: Investigate and resolve problems or exception situations using systems or equipment Handle customer inquiries, settle and approve customers claims and dispute within established limits.
  • Manage Pay: Reviews exceptions that are resulting in no pay to vendors and/or owner operators Review statements from Carriers and research reason for non-payment Reach out to carriers for paperwork required to process.
  • Alignment and Compliance: Work closely other departments to ensure accuracy of information and completion of processes Ensure ongoing compliance with defined FedEx processes and procedures, relevant legislation and external regulations, and predefined agreements.

Your Qualifications

  • Secondary education (O'Level or Form 5) or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years relevant work experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Good understanding of Finance practices and methodology.
  • Good customer and vendor relationship management skills.
  • Good business acumen.
