- Customer support engineer, focusing on Display
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Qualcomm is the world-class company of next-generation wireless and multimedia. Be a part of a dynamic and innovative team, we are looking for talented software engineers to support China customers with the questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding multimedia features, specifically display and graphics, on Windows/Android platform on Qualcomm chipsets.
The responsibilities of this role include:
Assist customers with display and graphics software integration, development, debugging and optimization work.
Customer training, application notes documentation
Interact and drive various internal teams to complete complex tasks or customer issues
PRINC IPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides timely and accurate answers to common customer inquiries.
Identifies customer problems and works with manager and/or project leads to recommend solutions.
Provides customer input to design engineering team regarding modifications to Qualcomm solutions.
Performs root cause analyses on basic customer problems to identify underlying issue.
Participates in integrating Qualcomm software to customer requirements.
Assists the development team with customizing Qualcomm software to meet customer requirements.
Debugs issues in customer software systems.
Communicates essential technical information to be leveraged by sales and marketing teams.
Participates in and represents customer perspectives in internal project meetings.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of debugging techniques for a specific work area (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
Owns a piece of a software module and tests and recommends appropriate modifications and enhancements in light of customer needs to appropriate party.
Publishes (e.g., writes, reviews, and edits) product technical documentation.
Demonstrates Qualcomm products and offerings to customers as instructed by tech leads.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2 years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
2 years experience with Windows/Android device lower-level kernel multimedia and display panel driver development
2 years experience with debugging techniques.
2 years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

. 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
