General Summary:
Qualcomm IOT Connected Camera System team creates embedded camera and imaging solutions for IP Cameras, Sports Cameras, Drone Cameras and Robotics Cameras. The CSS (Connected Smart System) Camera Systems Engineer works in Qualcomm's Connected Camera Systems Team and will be responsible for developing new IP camera features encompassing 2D/3D Image Capture, Image/Video Post-Processing, and machine vision etc.
Responsibilities:
. Lead Taipei 3A algorithm developing team People managing
. Lead the team to design develop IOT machine learning auto white balance algorithm.
. Lead the team to design develop IOT auto exposure algorithm, including the control of the luminating the lighting embedded in the camera device, the control of aperture.
. Lead the team to design develop auto ISP parameter adjustment algorithm.
. Work with global software teams to integrate the new algorithms. The work includes the proper documentation and the verification approach for SW engineers.
. Work with global test teams to design test methods for the algorithms and also to facilitate the test of the new algorithms before SW release.
. Work with global application engineers to solve various 3A issues for customer projects.
. Provide training for internal and external customers
Qualifications:
. Masters - Computer Science, Masters - Engineering, Masters - Information Systems
. Hands-on experience developing algorithms for embedded devices.
. Solid C/C++ programming, Python is a plus
. Prior experience on 3A is a plus
. Fluent verbal English speaking is a must
. 2+ years experience in people managing.
. 5+ years experience in programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems.
Minimum Qualifications:. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
. Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
. 12+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
. 8+ years of 4G/5G/6G systems and associated cellular standards (e.g., 3GPP NR, LTE, LTE, 3G).
. 3+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
. 2+ years of supervisory experience.
. 2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
. 1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
. Leverages advanced Systems knowledge and experience to research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate critical systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met.
. Performs highly complex functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications and to define and align with standards for hardware and software.
. Develops and analyzes highly complex system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.
. Collaborates with cross-functional teams (e.g., product management teams, engineering teams, etc.) to complete project work, including implementing and verifying the system.
. Develops algorithms and works on new and innovative ideas (e.g. IDFs) for a product or feature area.
. Drives triage of highly complex problems at the system level to determine root cause and presents results of testing and debugging to internal and external stakeholders.
Level of Responsibility:
. Works independently with minimal supervision.
. Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.
. Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey highly complex and/or detailed information. May require strong negotiation and influence with large groups or high-level constituents.
. Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).
. Tasks do not have defined steps planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
