The Role:
This role will be responsible for processing and interpreting data to get actionable insights through a series of tools, including but not limited to - Tableau, Cognos and ThoughtSpot, and supporting Hyatt's customer experience survey program. This position will primarily be involved in business consultation, analysis, data collection, and hands on programming, data visualization, and support.
A candidate who combines strong problem formation, data sourcing, analytical, communication, and collaborative skills will do well in this role. This position reports to Regional Vice President, Strategic Insights, Analytics and Enablement Asia Pacific, and closely work with team members in other departments.
Responsibilities:
.Analysis of data sets to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
.Preparation of PowerPoint presentations and setting up of reporting dashboards.
.Conducting data mining and exploratory analyses.
.Understanding key performance drivers in the hospitality industry and impact on business.
.Engage with Hyatt's customer experience survey platform development initiatives and provide support for hotels.
.Collaborating with regional and head-offices on data related projects.
.University degree holder in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or any other related disciplines. Preference given to strong technical and software systems background.
.2+ years of experience in data analysis (in particular large volumes of data sets), data measurement and analytics, to provide summary of data analysis and offer possible BI solutions
.Have advanced visualizations development skills. These include advanced visualizations (quadrants, bullet charts, multiple marks, etc.) and making complex data simple to understand as well as to tell compelling stories.
.Familiarity with Word, PowerPoint with strong proficiency in Excel and / or knowledge in other business intelligence software with strong numerical and analytical sense.
.Experience with Visualization tools, Database languages, Platform experience (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, Cognos, Thoughtspot)
.Ability to multi-task to meet tight timelines.
.Attention to detail and be a good team player.
.Good verbal and written skills in English required.
.Preferred candidate is passionate about the Travel and Hospitality Industry and has a drive for results
