Role Responsibilities

  • This position seeks a Technical Support Engineer to work within a dynamic team to support a global financial software product out of Taipei, Taiwan. Candidate should have strong technical skills, solid communication skills, a good work ethic and willingness to learn.

  • Primary responsibilities will include technical and production support for a large-scale production environment to support The Yield Book's global customer base. This position entails working closely with our New York based team to provide 24x7 coverage, and will include some shifted hours including Saturday coverage.

Education and Experience Required

  • MS degree in an Engineering discipline, with outstanding academic achievement.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Fluent in Mandarin. Japanese and other languages are a plus.

  • Knowledge of the Unix operating system, shell script programming skills, and an understanding of relational databases is required.

  • Experience with any of the following technology solutions is a plus:

  • Unix system administration skills, especially Linux.

  • Experience with various Cloud services and technology

  • Experience working with distributed and Datacenter network, and process automation technologies in a production environment.

  • System Administration experience with the Linux operating system and shell scripting, perl, and python programing.

  • Experience with relational databases such as Sybase, MySql, and NoSQL databases, such as, MongoDB.

  • Strong communication skills, and prior experience in a technical support role.

  • Software development and/or web development skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership skills and be able to work with tight deadlines.

  • This is an Individual Contributor role.
