About the Role
- Initiates and manages contact with local client/broker
- Responds on pre-bind exception requests and provides local quote as part of program
- Prepares and issues quotation to local client within UW authorities
- Prepares and issues accurate local policies as well as endorsements and cover notes in line with incoming UW box / Local Office Underwriting Guidance, agreed exceptions and regulatory framework within given target SLAs / KPIs
- Finalizes local admin system entries and ensures local policy is uploaded to global system
- Supports program costing incl. management of insured values
- Supports the creation of a quote and binder according to UW guidelines
- Supports UW in the creation of the reports to client/broker on program performance
- Maintains program structure and handles premium relevant endorsements throughout the life cycle
- Prepares and issues master policy as well as endorsement and finalizes admin systems entries
About the Team
As part of the China International Program & Business team you deliver quality service for our international accounts and coordinate with all related functions to ensure the policy is prepared in line with the guidance and specific exceptions and issued with agreed service levels in respect of timeliness and accuracy. You support the UW in handling complex tasks, processing of international business to ensure the speedy and accurate delivery of the entire program.

Job requirements
- University degree, preferably major in Insurance
- 5+ years Working experience in Commercial Insurance / Reinsurance industry desired, underwriting experience is a plus
- International Insurance Program Knowledge is a plus
- Good level of understanding of general underwriting and insurance products (Property, Casualty, others are a plus)
- Exact and detail oriented working style
- Ability to act as a pivotal point and having high coordination skills
- Open minded and readiness to share and pass on knowledge
- Strong service orientation
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests and deadlines
- Used to work in an international environment
- Willing to go the extra mile and drive further a world-class service
- Mandarin and English are a must
Technical Competencies
- Demonstrates intermediate to advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with Visio, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Nitro PDF, MS Project, and Business Objects a plus.
- Proven ability to do root cause analysis and associated troubleshooting.
- Demonstrates analytical skills to determine and communicate recommendations to customers.
- Ability to analyse data following established processes and procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Competency working with systems and software applicable to the business unit supported.
