The Role

Role Overview

As a Customer Partner - Banking & Financial Services, you will serve as the primary commercial and strategic executive responsible for originating, structuring, and closing consultative technology services sales across tier-1 banking and financial institutions.

We are seeking a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record originating from leading technology consultancies or global IT services firms (e.g., Accenture, IBM Consulting, Cognizant, DXC, NTT Data, Capgemini, Big 4, or similar). The ideal candidate brings an active executive network (CIO, CTO, CDO, COO), deep familiarity with enterprise procurement cycles, and a strong grasp of banking IT architectures and regulatory frameworks.

You will own the commercial quota (signings, revenue, and margin), leading complex pursuits across Kyndryl's full portfolio-including hybrid cloud, mainframe modernization, digital workplace, cybersecurity & resiliency, applications, data, and enterprise AI tailored for banking.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Origination & Quota Achievement (Sales & P&L)

Exceed annual individual and team quotas for signings, revenue, and gross profit margins across strategic banking accounts.
Originate, qualify, and convert a large-scale, multi-million-dollar pipeline for complex managed services, cloud transformation, and technology consulting engagements.
Structure commercial proposals, complex pricing models, and multi-year service contracts while balancing profitability, delivery risk, and regulatory alignment.

2. C-Suite Strategic Advisory & Banking Client Engagement

Establish and expand trusted-advisor relationships across the banking C-suite (CIO, CTO, CDO, CISO, and Business Line Heads).
Position Kyndryl's end-to-end technology services portfolio as the critical foundation for the bank's digital agenda, operational resilience, and growth initiatives.
Navigate internal banking governance, investment committees, risk/compliance boards, and procurement processes to accelerate deal velocity.

3. Consultative Deal Orchestration & Solution Leadership

Direct cross-functional pursuit teams-including solution architects, pricing specialists, delivery leads, and practice partners-to build differentiated, value-based proposals.
Translate complex banking challenges (e.g., core banking decoupling, legacy-to-hybrid cloud migrations, real-time payments, operational resilience) into viable, high-ROI technology services.
Ensure a smooth transition from deal signature to implementation and delivery teams to safeguard long-term account health and expansion.
