Role Overview

We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Sales & Business Development Manager/ Director (AOI Solutions) with a strong hunter mindset to accelerate Galatek's market expansion across Taiwan and key Asian semiconductor markets.

In this high-impact, individual-contributor role, you will be responsible for mapping out aggressive regional sales strategies, breaking into new accounts, and securing major partnerships with top-tier wafer fabs and OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) providers. Working closely with global R&D and engineering leadership, you will serve as the commercial catalyst bridging customer needs with Galatek's product roadmap to ensure our AOI series platforms become the vendor of choice for high-end semiconductor manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Penetration & Hunter Business Development

Drive New Account Acquisition: Proactively target, cold-pitch, penetrate, and win major tier-1 wafer fabs, OSAT providers, and advanced packaging facilities across Taiwan and target markets (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, etc.).
Develop Sales & Territory Strategies: Formulate and execute aggressive sales hunting strategies to capture market share from established incumbents in the AOI and metrology space.
Identify Growth Vectors: Uncover emerging market opportunities, secondary demand drivers, and application gaps across the regional semiconductor supply chain.

2. Account Management & Strategic Relationships

Build, maintain, and expand deep technical and commercial relationships with key decision-makers - from fab managers and process leads to VP/C-level procurement executives.
Position Galatek's flagship AOI series as the go-to solution for wafer-level, substrate, and advanced packaging inspection needs.

3. End-to-End Sales Lifecycle Leadership

Lead the entire sales cycle—from initial lead generation, technical evaluation, and on-site tool qualifications to high-stakes contract negotiation and closing.
Orchestrate joint customer evaluations and technical proof-of-concept (PoC) trials alongside field application engineers.

4. Cross-Functional R&D & Product Strategy Alignment

Gather and synthesize real-time voice-of-customer (VoC) feedback from semiconductor production floors.
Collaborate closely with Galatek's global R&D and manufacturing teams to align customer requirements with product development roadmaps and system upgrades.

Key Requirements

Core Experience & Mindset

Proven Sales Track Record: 8-10+ years of successful capital equipment sales experience in the semiconductor industry, specifically within Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Metrology, or Wafer/Package Inspection.
Hunter Personality: Demonstrated success in hunting new business, penetrating multi-layered enterprise accounts, and closing multi-million-dollar capital equipment deals.
Established Industry Network: Strong existing relationships and active contacts across major Taiwanese wafer fabs, foundry partners, and OSAT leaders.

Technical & Communication Competencies

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Optics) or a related technical discipline.
AOI Product Knowledge: Deep technical familiarity with AOI hardware architectures, optics, defect inspection workflows, and packaging integration.
Bilingual Fluency: Fluent professional written and spoken communication skills in both English and Mandarin to seamlessly interface with regional clients and global internal teams.

Operational Flexibility

Location & Autonomy: Self-motivated and comfortable operating independently under a remote/flexible work structure based in Taiwan.
Travel Willingness: Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (Taiwan-domestic and key regional sites across Southeast Asia as required).
