About the Role
The AI Solutions Director is a senior AI sales leadership role responsible for leading 2–3 AI sales teams within an assigned business unit. This is a player-coach position, combining team leadership with direct involvement in complex, high-value customer opportunities.

The role oversees team performance across pipeline, forecasting, revenue, and margins while working closely with regional sales, engineering, services, and technology partners to drive AI growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage 2–3 AI sales teams, with accountability for pipeline growth, win rates, revenue, and margin targets.
Coach and develop AI sales, solutions architecture, and services professionals.
Run weekly sales operating cadences covering pipeline reviews, deal progression, resource allocation, and forecasting.
Personally engage in strategic customer pursuits, executive meetings, briefings, and high-value proposals.
Coordinate specialist resources across AI, industry, engineering, business development, and services teams.
Work with leading AI, cloud, infrastructure, and technology partners on joint pipeline development and co-selling initiatives.
Integrate AI teams into regional account planning and build strong relationships with senior sales leadership.

Requirements:

12+ years of enterprise technology sales experience with a strong record of quota attainment.
3+ years of sales management or team leadership experience, managing quota-carrying professionals.
Proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams.
Strong experience managing pipeline generation, consultative selling, forecasting, and sales performance.
Strong AI domain knowledge sufficient to coach teams and engage credibly with customers.
Experience working in co-selling or specialist sales models alongside field account teams.
Strong executive presence and experience engaging senior IT and business stakeholders.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams, partners, and stakeholders without direct authority.
Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience leading sales teams focused on AI, cloud, data, or advanced infrastructure.
Strong relationships with AI, cloud, infrastructure, or technology ecosystem partners.
Experience building or scaling specialist sales teams within large enterprise organizations.
Experience with lab-based technology validation or proof-of-concept selling.
MBA or advanced degree in business, technology, or a related field.
